May 21, 2005 - Car Prep for the Summer Driving Season

On a beautiful spring day in May, Ed and Carryl Howell once again opened up their house (and garage) to us so that we could hold our second ever Tech Day!  Club members came prepared for a do-it-yourself (with the help and assistance of the resident pro's) session on preparing our British treasures for the upcoming driving season.  Tasks attempted and accomplished included brake jobs, distributor issues, throttle cable replacements, clutch adjustments, timing adjustments, cylinder compression checks, and many more maintenance tasks. Of course, there were also many 'side-bar' discussions covering everything from lubrication choices to recommended mechanics and body shops.  And of course, Ed and Carryl had a wonderful lunch prepared for all of us.

Once again, THANKS SO MUCH Ed and Carryl for your hospitality and giving spirit!  We appreciate you!
